While we may be light on new features in December, that just means we’re full of energy for January. The main highlight of last month was a new variant of the language selector that can be added to the website. Read the article for the details.

New language selector

To make Easyling truly a turnkey solution, we provide language selectors that are aimed at fitting into the design of every website. However, we understand that there’s a huge variety of sites on the Internet. We wished for further flexibility. So, we introduced a third variant. This variant is similar to the sidebar, but in addition to the previous variant, it allows the language (or its short code) to be displayed alongside the flag. This way, it’s easy to differentiate between languages belonging to the same country, like English (US) and Spanish (US). It can look like the below and can be configured to be on either side of the screen.

Miscellaneous

As usual, we have made a few minor changes:

• We fixed an error when the user agent indicated that Google is scanning the translated website. This will increase the efficiency of the SEO of the translated sites, increasing rankings.
• We fixed a bug in the language selector with the JavaScript translation engine that would prevent the selection of the source language.
• We improved the email notification when the regular expression-based entry deletion process finishes.
